Hi guys,
Just wanted to get an indictaion of how many ZA guilds there are on Twilight's Hammer.

I'm in Ripple Effect. A ZA only guild. Bloody nice to see the odd afrikaans here and there, and to chat with only South Africans on TS. Must say it does make a huge change to your gaming experience.

Any other ZA only guilds around?

Guild name: Pap en Vleis (laugh all you want!).

A relaxed guild thats growing quite steadily. Quite a number of lower to mid level players with a mix of new and older players as well.

This a PvP or PvE realm? You guys horde or alliance? Im hating my current server, and want to roll on a new one :(

hmmm, i just joined a guild of some friends... will ask soulburner to post the details here... and we talk afrikaans to each other constantly :p very handy!

Guild Name: Banéthil Warriors

Also rather Relaxed Guild. Have mid lvl to high lvl players. Nothing serious.

quick question: what exactly do we do with guilds? :P

i'm relatively new to wow, and so far it is fun just to bash things and sell things on auction.

can i use my guild to re-enact childhood memories and avenging my grandparents' deaths? or can i get copper and engineering supplies at discount rates...

guilds are there to help ya out...where they can. you getting ganked ...seek help of higher lvl guildies to get rid of those gankers.:D

You need help with very hard quest look for someone in guild who will help you do quest and of coarse to run instances with each other;)

Guilds are for PvE raiding basically. And to have a laugh.

Its easy to say guilds are there to help each other with ganking etc, but when a lowbie is questing in Hillsbrad and the rest are doing heroic Mechanar, other instances, mining or whatever to earn some cash for the next night of wiping on a new boss, they will get ganked 50 times before the first lvl70 guildmate arrives on the scene.

Im not from a South-African guild, but i do play on TH and i am from SA :)

Guild advantages:

1) Easier groups for instances. You get to know you m8's and as a result less wipes (and the following $%$# NOOB statements)
2) Easier groups for BG's: A lot more fun and co-ordination leading to the mass slaughter of the opposition (being politically correct here to avoid the Horde vs Ally fight)
3) Items, Guildies often pass down / up / across unwanted items either for free or at discounted prices
4) Helluva lot of fun. Our guild chat is alive with banter, whether we just chatting about girls, girls, or ripping each other off.
5) Can't finish a quest? Ask a guildie!
6) At higher lvl's - raiding as a guild.

I enjoy the social aspect of the game (IMO, it's why we play online). From being called OOM (I'm not that old ..... really!) to comparing gear and DPS or just getting to know other folk from ZA.

being called OOM (I'm not that old ..... really!)

I have to admit.

Our Guild has taken WoW to new heights for me. I haven't played my main in Weeks since I joined you guys. The reason is mainly the fact that I'm having so much fun with you guys and there is never a dull moment ;)

"Oom" went to bed early last night, no SM run :o

Hmm, reading all this makes me want to reroll (can't transfer since PVE server atm)

I just can't imagine doing all the work again getting exalted with most factions, getting geared up :-(
