Twitch adds support for 1080p60 streaming

Twitch announced it is increasing stream quality by adding support for 1080p/60fps video.

Maybe someone can educate me here

Every single time I am watching a stream I will have random times where the stream will buffer.
Does this with every channel.

Can it be my connection, or is it something on Twitch itself?
I have a 20Mb VDSL line.

Depends on the routing and backhaul of your ISP.

You can have a 4meg line and stream perfectly, or have a 100meg line and lag all the time.

Can confirm - 720p on a 50/50mbps line with no buffering (sometimes can do it at 60fps). Anything over that and it goes downhill. EU servers are MUCH better than US ones for me. Routing all the day, although on Vumatel the quality is better than on Fibrehoods even though the ISP is the same
