Interested in feedback from others on social networks - have recently become more active on Twitter and finding it way more rewarding than facebook - a great way to find up-to-date industry related info & get yourself out there.

Prefer tweeting over facebook.

Quicker and use less bandwidth.

I have the same reasons plus i use facebook more for friends and family stuff while I use twitter for work, personal interest and fun :)

I really think they are 2 different websites are not real competitors. different uses, different markets and can co-exist with each other.

does anyone know of stats on twitter usage and/ or companies that have used it for marketing?
It seems like a much better relationship building tool for brands and small comanies than facebook ever was - I wonder what the take up is for South Africans so far

oh and can anyone get / update twitter from their cellphones - the direct twitter website way doesnt work for me so I dont think SA is enabled. I saw someone was using The Grid - but still need to check this out.

I really wish isps would start using Twitter to respond to customers, report network faults, advertise new services, etc.

Twitter is a great platform for businesses to relate to their customers and get updates out in real-time. The key word 'real-time' is being thrown around a lot lately and many companies are interested in acquiring Twitter for it's ability to collect data and display it as it happens.

I've got both on my 5800, and I find my friends use FB, while I get work-related (web development) stuff from Twitter. The US/EU seem to be more twittered up than SA, for sure. I'm slowly getting my friends on board though.

i prefer neither they both over rated bandwidth sucking pieces of garbage

iburst is on there already. They are tweeting but don't hear anything about network problems.
