I have a 2GB Mweb account as my main account and what I am wanting to do is get a few gigs of prepaid local from axxess.
Then set up route sentry and use the two together.

Thats fine and all, but how exactly does axxess work.
Do I need to have an account with them? Like a local only account?
Do I go to engen for example and ask them for 3GB axxess local or do you ask for a 1GB and then it adds 5.8GB, as it says on the website, to the account?

Just a bit of clarity as I am a bit confused as to how they work. The site doesn't seem to exactly explain what to do.
I would of thought it would work that I go in and ask for 3GB of local, then theres a username and password on the slip and I enter that into the router or something to that effect.

Thanks

I'm running this setup - it's amazing how much local bandwidth was coming off my international cap.

Unfortunately you can't convert the Engen/Pick 'n Pay to local so you'll need to purchase from Axxess online. Another bummer is Evil Mweb don't fancy this arrangement so I'm constantly having to fiddle with my settings to avoid their "out of cap" landing pages.

To avoid that just use dns servers like open dns in your router or pc then it won't happen again.

OpenDNS is great, but remember that using OpenDNS will preven you from enjoying the benefits of local mirrorring sites which work with AKAMAI etc - which convert hostnames to IP's based on region. For example, Microsoft.com downloads, Nvidia's website, and many others will use international traffic if you choose OpenDNS.
I'd rather use SAIX/IS/etc DNS servers depending which type your account is.

Just a small correction here - you CAN convert the vouchers to local if you already have a prepaid account with Axxess. The 1GB conversion will get you 5.8GB local which you can use over 12 months.

No, you sign up with them on their website (free) and then recharge that account.
