Two ADSL Modems on one line

Is the following possible? Can I connect one ADSL modem at one telephone extension point and another at another extension. I ask because I live in a large rambling house with extremely thick walls and my WIFI signal is not very good. I thought perhaps I could plug one ADSL modem (non WIFI) into the PC Room (2 Desktops and a Laptop - Hardwired) and then plug another another ADSL modem i(WIFI) nto a telephone extension in the front part of the house for WIFI only. If its possible what would speeds be. I have a 512 Kbps connection!

Further Question. My ISP allows 2 simultaneous connections, so would my suggestion above work ?

nope
just one modem
but you can run 2 pppoe connections through the one modem. Still only gonna be at a max of the line though. not double your line speed.
