Anyone know of any software ready to go that will allow me to install a media player running as a service on a headless WinXP machine (to which the speakers are attached), and allow me to control playback and playlist functions over the network? Preferrably something lightweight - teamviewer and VNC is out. The machine is switched of daily, so we don't want to set it up daily - it is running headless for all purposes.

I know you were probably looking for something more technical - but:

Y-Adapter

Or just use iTunes and airplay it to another pc using Shairport4W - Thats what I do with my laptop and my desktop.

I believe he'd want 1 female to 2 males

I use AWaremote or Unified Remote to control my Media centers over WiFi on my Android devices

The thread title is slightly misleading keywords that got carried over from my Google search. I need to control playback over the network. The client machine is a HP server that lacks a sound card.
