I know it was said that you can only use one device (sim) for each connectivity package.

Does this mean that you can't have more than one connectivity package for a single sim, e.g. I take both the Mobile 2 (which I have) and a new Mobile 3 on the same Mobile 2 sim card?

Is this possible?

@JayN Unfortunate that isn't possible as far as I am aware unless Afrihost can do an exception which highly doubt is to possible to have 2 packages on 1 sim card.

Wait for launch date that way we can see what they've on offer. Probably bundled deals with more free MiFi modems

Unfortunately not :(
The only sharing that is allowed is if you have purchased another package and provisioned your MTN contract to use the APN.

Hi Afriman
When can I add my MTN sim to use the new package? ie I buy a new 5Gb package but currently if i want to provision my SIM I have to take another package. Will you enable that functionality on the 6th?

I seem to recall Afriman or DistantClarity saying that once public launch is done, there will be functionality in our client zone to kill off the Afrihost issued sim and rather enter an MTN contract number to use the data on by entering the APN..........

Yes, you can do that today. However you cannot link your MTN number to an existing package, it gets its own package. I want to buy another package in anycase as I want a LTE sim, but I want to know if I will be able to link my MTN number to the new LTE sim that I will order today, or if I will need to wait and only buy the SIM in a few days from now when I can buy a new SIM and also link a MTN number to that SIM.

Data cannot be shared across different SIM cards.
If you want to use the APN option, you will need to sign up a package and specify for that data to be allocated to your MTN sim. (i.e. sign up for the APN option when buying the package)

I remember you saying 2 weeks ago that this can be changed in the clientzone, whereby you can change the MTN number to which the Afrihost data is allocated.

EXAMPLE: I currently use my Afrihost sim in the mifi, but later, I could change this data away from this sim (making it redundant) and specify my MTN voice contract number to use the data on.

Or am I completely wrong?

Sorry about the late reply here, it's been thread mania around these parts lately.
Unfortunately what you're saying above isn't possible at this stage. If you want to use our data on your device via the APN you'll need to sign up for another package.
