I need some advice,I am using a Acer 5552 laptop with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics card.It has two ext screen ports 1 Vga and 1 HDMI.I am currently using the vga for a 2nd display, can I use the HDMI port for a 3rd screen ?If not what is the cheapest option to ad a 3rd screen to my setup,it is used for trading purposes so I do not need a lot of graphic power.

Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately with most laptops you can only use 1 external screen at once. I'd say use HDMI with a high res screen.

You could always get a USB monitor...

Not sure who has them anymore, but I saw them a little while ago.

My colleague has an USB Full HD monitor from Samsung, so that he can have 3 screens connected to his PC.
It works fine for text, but its not suited for videos.

I highly doubt that both your VGA & HDMI will work at the same time. Like my Dell laptop has an ATI Mobility x1400 with VGA & DVI outputs, but I can only use 1 at a time.
