I have an old Huawei E220 that I received from Vodacom about 3 years or so back - and reflashed it with Mobile Data 11.002.03.04.03 back then. Everything runs perfectly - so I'm not too keen on touching it ...

Last month I bought Huawei K3565 v2 Vodafone branded modem and haven't touched anything on it. It still runs WMC Lite.

I use these modems seperatley from each other (pull one out when done ; use the next) - but I was hoping Mobile Partner would detect both modems. It doesn't though :(

What do I need to do to the new modem to enable Mobile Data to detect it? I really don't want to touch the E220 or even the Mobile Data version (even though its old!) because it works and is table!

Any tips to make it detect both modems?

Is there a full version of Mobile Partner? Like the full version of VMC, and not VMC Lite. Or is the Mobile Parter on the E220 basically the full version?

Question: Why would you need to change datacards?

What exactly do you mean by Mobile Partner not detecting the modem?
Is is detected by Windows when you plug it in? Do you have autorun enabled? Are you sure you have the Huawei K3565 modem and not the ZTE version?

I have Mobile Partner installed on my PC and have used a wide range of Huawei modems with it; E620, E220, E272, K3565, K3765, E155, without problems.

I don't know of a "full version", Mobile Partner is pretty compact, unlike VMC, so there's no need to strip features from it in order to fit on the device's virtual CD-ROM storage space.

The newest version of Mobile Partner I have seen (11.302.09.01.539) is available here:
http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/Huawei/Not_customised_managers
It includes USSD and voice support for modems that support these features.

Dont know if of topic, but i have E220 & E1820 modems.
Is it possible to use both simultaneously on different networks?
I use one from work (E220) & other is personal use (E1820).
Currently if E1820 is plugged in the E220 does not pick up.

Sorry - created this thread a while ago.

The Mobile Partner is the full version. I need to change because Vodacom data doesn't work in the area anymore and I've opted to go Telkom 3G instead.

I do - however - have data on the Vodacom card and if I need to trickle something down over night, I use the Vodacom card. If I want speed, I use Telkom.
