Hi all.

I have one phone in conjunction with my ADSL modem and one phone with line-filter closer to the wall plug where it is split. All is working fine.

Now I'd like to add a third phone to another room and was wondering if I could run two phones through the one line-filter.

Would it work or would I damage the filter?

I know that each phone you add needs some current and I didn't know if filters are only rated for a certain amount, that's why I asked.

I'll give it a shot, thanks.

The rule is not "one filter per instrument (phone/fax/answering machine, etc), but rather "no unfiltered instruments on the line"

You can happily plug splitters into filters and put whatever you want downstream.

Ah, the modem manual didn't explain it very well then. It made it sound like "one filter per instrument".

Thanks guys :)
