My dear wife chose to go to MWeb for her ADSL service. Her money and I only wish I could say her problem! ;)

Just on two weeks ago her modem went down, we of course had to have every tech-support guy employed by MWeb try to prove that the modem wasn't faulty... but after they cried some tears into their coffee and great clenching of teeth they finally had to agree that said modem was faulty!

After numerous phone calls, she was told that a replacement modem was with the couriers on Thursday last week. It's now Tuesday and still no sign of a modem.

Are MWeb really as crap as they seem?
Are their Billion modems unreliable - They really look tacky to me?
Do MWeb use couriers with horse drawn carriages?

Of course my wife blames me, well I did marry her didn't I? :(

No way....Billion routers are really good. I'll only ever buy Billion.
The only one I managed to break was by loading my own firmware...so don't try that ;)

What the line stats on the Router? Line attenuation and SNR values. (You can find this on vthe ADSL advanced page. Click on ADSL on the main page “Under port status” and the click on advanced options”….
Have you had any lightning in the area over the past few weeks?

I have been using Billion Routers for quite allot of my customers over the lat few month, and I must say they haven’t given me any problems at all…

I'm not in a position to get anywhere near it at the moment.

I can recall that the PPP light never lights up, but thats probably of little use!

The last time we had lightning here was in 2006 if I recall, we just don't get thunder storms here!
