typical false ceiling boards

Please help, is gypsum board the most common type for false ceiling or is there a better product than this? Any idea about cost per sq.m? I am getting people to quote me so will update prices later but any know-how here will be appreciated.

Nutek is fibreboard which is better, but much more expensive. It does not sag like gypsym, but you cannot do a full skim on it. If you want to do a full skim, get 9mm gypsum board and make sure brandering is no further than 250mm apart. Cost should be about R150 per sqm for a full skim with all material. Around R100 without skim.
