Well I'm sure this has been told numerous times before and won't be news or a surprise to anybody (wasn't to me).

I ordered adsl about 4 weeks ago, got the phone call about a week ago they said it is ready and the dude will come install it within 11 days so yesterday afternoon the plessey guy comes and installs it, checks the line and its dead.

He phones his telkom connection and the guy calls back and says sorry telkom hasn't connected me up at the exchange and its an 'unmanned exchange' so I have to wait now between 48 and 72 hours for them to send someone out to connect it up because the plessey guy isnt allowed to touch telkom exchange boxes (he told me its about a 5-10minute job).

so irritating yet so expected

atleast my iBurst is still connected for 1 more month.

i wouldnt be complaining so much if i were you: 4 weeks!
some people have been waiting months, even years...

I know, I ordered it about 8 months ago and after waiting 2 months I went over to iBurst, was lucky this time.

Atleast someone came to install ADSL for you.... they told me that i have to wait till July for my exchange to get new ADSL ports before i can be upgraded.

/me waits

I had to wait two months for my connection while others have to wait for eight months, maybe by the time the decide to install it Neotel or GTS (if in ur area) will have better services available...

When any intelligent human being tries and tries again and sees that whatever they trying isn't working they eventually give up or ask for help. Telscum's management must really be stupid, they don't even have the metal capacity to realize that they are incompetent to run the company.

Animals, try and try without succeeding certain tasks because their mental capacity isn't developed enough for them to ask for help.

Oh wait!! there is another way to interpret this, are we in Africa?
