Hi.
I recently underwent brain surgery to remove a brain tumor. Sadly my left hand was compromised during surgery. Like so many, my work depends on my ability to work fairly fast on a computer. I can't use my left hand and fingers at all including a touch pad. I was wondering if anyone have some idea or know of a product that could help. I appreciate your kind input. I have already tried voice to text software. It is flawed at best. Just too many errors.
Thank you.

Hi - sorry to hear that - it will definitely be an adjustment. I do not have100% use of my left hand since an early age, after matric I completed a few computer courses, it was hard at first typing with one hand, I was slower than the rest of the students. I then purchased a software application called "typing tutor". Every day or if I had some free time I would follow the lessons, did speed tests. I eventually could type up to 60 words per minute, using one hand. For the last 30 years I have been typing with my right hand (now and again use my fingers on my left hand to assist with ctrl, alt and fn combinations), it is also a show off sometimes - there are a few people who cannot keep up with the speed at which I type.

I suggest you find some software, all you can do is keep on practicing and get the fingers on your right hand moving all over the keyboard - Everything of the best.

thank you - I will look into this

You could get a custom keyboard running TMK or QMK and program a key to mirror the left-hand side in a layer - somewhat like shift.
Perhaps even something like the right half of an ergodox.
