Don't let the local distributors fool you into thinking this...I have spoken to UBNT directly, they are saying the shortage in South Africa lies with the local distributors and their is no stock shortage on their side...but who knows for sure

I think Scoop and Miro are doing a pathetic Job with UBNT products in South Africa, I am surprised UBNT has not licensed another supplier.

Most items from Ubiquiti have experienced delays, for example our order placed on the 16th July for the RocketM5 was dispatched from China on the 8th November which docks in Cape Town the 9th December. Earlier this year Ubiquiti was quoting 30 day lead times but the jump to 4 months has affected all of the local distributors. We fully expect stock levels to return back to normal by January now that we are ordering with the new lead times.

For more information you can find most products expected arrival on our web site http://www.scoopdistribution.co.za/product_info.php/5ghz-rocket-mimo-airmax-p-882

It is very difficult to forecast demand, especially when products are growing as fast as Ubiquiti. Working with long lead times from suppliers and a month or longer shipping by sea further complicates the issue. Even though distributors have systems in place for this, it may lead to one distributor having stock while another is out of stock. However, when a supplier does not ship stock for 3 months, everybody suffers. When none of the distributors in a country have stock - it is a sure sign that the problem is not with the distributor, but with the supplier. Ubiquiti have pushed out their lead times to 12 - 16 weeks, but at least it is consistent now, stock should be back to normal in 2014.
Miro is flying stock in as soon as it becomes available from Ubiquiti - we are booking in stock at the moment. Obviously back orders get filled first, so the best would be to place an order on the distributor to make sure you get stock as soon as it becomes available.

So you all have a choice: buy from Miro and pay more 'cos they fly it in or buy from Scoop at a cheaper rate 'cos they ship it in.

If you are in a rush, pay more. Lekker soos 'n krekker....

I am looking for 3 x Nanobridge M5 , PM me if you know who has stock. Or even who is selling 2nd hand ones.

Thanks

I always buy from scoop where possible, Miro prices are beyond crazy.

Once they charged R400 just for a plain metal shield for the ubnt high gain sector. The one from scoop was in the R130 region.

R400 for a thin piece of metal is absolute bull. I think it was aluminium.

Hi, sorry didn't read all the replies. We have - if I'm correct (not at office) 4X in stock, PM me if you still need, so I can check and maybe we can help...

Still no rocket m5's no nano bridges, no rocket dishes... ive given up on waiting going to just import myself tired of empty promises.

I got 10 x nanobridges and rockets M5's today. Also got a few last month.

Unfortunately there was a slight delay with our other UBNT shipment due to weather conditions, hopefully it will be here by next week. We will be fully stocked from January next year.

Been hearing various stories since August ... so lets see
