I hated that launcher side bar in the beginning. Now it's just a part of my workflow. I prefer it to auto-hide and I also size it down a little because I think the default size is a bit too chunky.

I made peace with it and it became a non-issue after I un-pinked everything.

But then in true Linux fashion I tried to install KDE Plasma yesterday and suffice to say...

...this morning I had to format my machine that was booting into a black screen and installed kubuntu.

And it is PRETTY!

On the upside, my Ubuntu installation lasted just over two months before I broke it which is a personal best for me
