Ubuntu 9.10 and Aicrack

Hi Guys,

I am struggling with Ubuntu 9.10 and Aircrack.

I am able to get injection and capturing working 100% but then all of a sudden injection stops and I have to restart airodump in order to resume the capture. This can happen anywhere between 1000 iv's captured to 100 000 iv's captured and is bloody annoying.

It is almost like something is taking the card out of monitor mode. I presume Network-Manager is the guilty party, but if i run:

network-manager stop

then I am no longer able to inject - it just point blank refuses. In 9.10 if you do aircrack-ng kill all (to kill all interfering processes) it kills the processes but they restart under a new pid, so this doesn't help.

How can I attempt to find out what is causing injection/capture to cease. All the documentation I can find seems to refer to older Ubuntu versions and no longer seems to apply since the new upstart-dev-daemon now controls everything...

Any help?

And this one?:
sudo /etc/init.d/networking stop

I used this command recently and bash spat something back at me stating I could use the 'system' command which I interpreted to mean this:

sudo system networking stop

See if that works
