My spell Checker is slightly confused and missing a few things. For example, any word in the -ing tense will be underlined as wrongly spelled. How do I fix/update this?
(Firefox, having it's own checker, is the only exception.)

I've noticed the same thing in Linux Mint 6 and 7, Ubuntu 9.04 (not too sure about Fedora). I've even filed a bug report. It is as if the en_ZA dictionary is horribly broken. I'm now using the en_GB dictionary instead. B.t.w., something is wrong with the Firefox dictionary (en_ZA) too. It underlines words like "there's, it's, running, knows, others... who knows how many others". (I'm typing this message in Mint 7 which is based on Jaunty and seeing wavy lines all over the place.)

Should I just file this bug under proof that SA doesn't give a **** about accurate language? :p
How do I change it to the GB dictionary?

Oh I hate it if people tell me to change to the Britain dictionary, because the correct South African dictionary contains town names and words exclusive used in South Africa. You can fix it yourself by doing the following:

- Download the newest zip file from http://downloads.translate.org.za/spellchecker/ at the moment its http://downloads.translate.org.za/spellchecker/myspell-en_ZA-1.20090227.zip
Then extract the content of the zip file to the "/usr/share/myspell/dicts" dictionary.

Hope it helps,
