Hi,

The reason why i am posting in the OT section is because i need a quick reply.

I have recently installed Ubuntu linux 6.06 beta, and for some reason i cant access the internet. However, the network is running fine as it can see the other computers on the windows network and access them. I can even get onto the Netgear DG632 config page.

Why can i not seem to get onto the internet? Is it because of the beta version? Or my network? Or my settings?

Please help !

what should they be?

gateway: 192.168.0.1 (ADSL modems IP address)

DNS: ???

Does the DSL modem auto configure DNS? i.e. most routers will do this automatically, but I'm not sure about Modems.

You can try setting the DNS to 196.25.255.34 and 196.25.255.3

Its a netgear DG632, so it does the whole IP config and DNS config by itself...
