So I tried to install Ubuntu 7.04 on my old desktop, I couldn't get my refresh rate right. So I just dragged a brand new box here from the states, changed the power supply in the hope of finally trying out linux.
The box came with Vista Home Premium, the drive was partitioned into a main partition and a recovery partition. I repartitioned because I wanted to load Vista Business. I did this successfully.
I then tried to load linux Ubuntu 7.10 which I'd downloaded, I wanted to dual boot it with Vista. The linux installation completed fine, but when I rebooted all I got was "Missing Operating System"
I then had to reinstall Vista, which is now running fine, but still no linux.
This method of dual booting worked fine with my old desktop and XP.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
