As predicted by all on here, Max Price capitulated yet again...

CAPE TOWN - The University of Cape Town (UCT) says it has suspended classes for the next week, up to and including Friday 30 September.

All staff will continue operations during this time but the university’s libraries will be closed.

UCT is one of several tertiary education institutions affected by demonstrations over fee hikes for 2017.

Demonstrations erupted earlier this week shortly after Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande announced that tuition fee hikes will be left to individual varsities.

If a students graduation is delayed and the delay leads to loss of obtaining a job, will the student be compensated by the university?

It's not really the graduation that is the problem. More if exams are extended into next year.
