Does anyone know when the UEC version HD PVR's will be introduced? They were supposed to replace the Pace ones a while ago already, I think?

I heard somewhere towards the end of April... but thats also not definate. I think they are also waiting on multichoice to fix up their software for the HD PVR's. Cause its not hardware that is the problem!

The UEC device is not going to replace the PACE, its going to co-exist

Spoke to a UEC software engineer I know from Durban in February

He said there are major software issues

He also said there was more money in their overseas market, so they put more manpower on that, hence why he had been in Australia for quite a bit.

hmm. Thing is, I don't want to buy a Pace, and then next month the UEC hits the shelves, you know?

I can back you up on this statement, release is being delayed again, to at least September. The software issues are purely because of the multichoice software that both pace and uec have to use. So if this be the case, dont expect anything better out of the pace decoder untill about then too. Also they are not going to stop selleng pace decoders, theres actually nothing wrong with them, hardware wise. Its all about the OS!
