It would seem Benzema is finding no problem adapting. Also i can see a bit of tension in Ronaldo's play. He is no longer the superstar - cos he is surrounded by other superstars, some even bigger than him at Madrid.

I think both Higuain and Benzema will be picked ahead of Raul this season.

True that. No longer the "go-to guy". Well it was his wish :p But Benzema is still very young and young players always adapt easily. Would be great to see how he does if he is a starter.
 
Yup, Benzema was waiting to be unleased - and it finally happened.

Anybody check how that Lisandro oke at Lyon is scoring like crazy! He was brought in to replace Benzema and he is doing a fine job.

Problem at Madrid is Raul is probably more important than the coach. He is on the same level as Di Stefano in the eyes of the Madrid fans.

Saw an interview with Pelegrinni where he stated that Raul will start many games on the bench.

Well he should be a back-up. Only that though. No matter how important he is... the next generation needs to be weened into the team. Oh yeah - Di Stefano owns Raul.
 
Well, when Huntelaar joined Madrid, he scored 8 goals in 6 games which is amazing :eek:

But then Raul got pissed and started whining so Huntelaar was benched and Raul was a starter again (and he didin't even come close to scoring 8 goals in 6 games :/)
 
Raul actually played well last season. Thats why he was the starter. He scored crucial goals.

Backup dude, backup. He's a perma-crock and can;t be used for a full season... but would be very good against smaller sides where a divine poacher is needed. *sigh* Pippo... :D
