Ugan Naidoo is the head of security at CA Southern Africa.
A Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng), Ugan holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree at honours level (B.Sc.Hons).
He has over fourteen years of experience in the business, engineering and technology disciplines. Ugan has worked in diverse environments, which includes Power Stations, Process and Production Lines as well as large corporate environments.
Ugan has managed a number of multi-million rand, multi-disciplined projects and has specialist knowledge in the areas of Information Security, Identity and Access Management, Enterprise Architecture (masters dissertation completed), IT Strategy, Data and Voice Networks, Threat & Vulnerability Management, SCADA and PLC solutions to name a few.
Prior to joining CA, Ugan has been employed in key positions at the following companies: Fujitsu (Head of Consulting), PricewaterhouseCoopers (Snr Manager), arivia.kom (Team Leader, Snr Engineer), Eskom (Snr Engineer). Ugan served as the National Leader for Identity Management and Converged Solutions at PricewaterhouseCoopers and was responsible for practice development in the domains of Information Security and Enterprise Architecture.
Ugan’s key focus area over the past nine years is Identity Management and Enterprise Architecture. He has led large scale Identity Management initiatives at two of the largest Financial Services organisations in the country. Ugan has also been advising a number of clients in the telecommunications, energy and financial services sector on Information Technology, Identity Management and Enterprise Architecture.
