UIF + Retrenchment cover query

I was retrenched at the end of April and started a new job yesterday so effevtively unemployed for one month.

Would I still be able to claim from UIF for the month I was unemployed even though I already started my new job?
The same applies to retrenchmeny cover I have with Liberty.

I need a receipt from UIF before I can claim from liberty.

Tried searching for answers but found none.
