UK Expat VPN

A proper VPN like Windscribe or ProtonVPN is cheaper and gives you access to over 160 countries. Why muck about with this? If you use the Windflix UK servers from Windscribe you can get access to ITV and IPlayer as well and WS is only $9p/m where this is $10.40 not to mention WS almost always has specials running like the latest 1yr pro for only $20.20. Also in the next few weeks their Windflix servers will become obsolete when Netflix et al works on all their servers in all locations.

Good morning, I use a VPN like Windscribe should I install it on my router OR my MI Box.

Why use a vpn for this when a smart dns service could be a better option?

This exactly. I use smart DNS as it doesnt mess with any internet speeds. Been doing so for around 4 years now without any issues.

If you use Getflix smart dns service, you get a free VPN included for 5 USD a month.

I've used them both for a couple of years now and couldn't be happier. Smart dns on the router at home, and the VPN on OpenVPN on my phone and laptop for when I'm on the move (often).

Same goes for smart dns proxy, same company as Getflix. The vpn has been useful while the cables have been out.

Plus they’re under $5 per month.

I'm out of the country and tried to talk my wife through setting up the Getflix OpenVPN on her iPad so she could watch British TV. Ended up going for the easy life option by getting a month of Express VPN instead

Smart dns proxy has a free vpn app that’s incredibly easy to set up. I’d be surprised if Getflix didn’t have one as well.
