The government has said that the persecution of the users of e-cigarette technology should stop. The Department of Health today outlined a Five Year Tobacco Control plan for England with the goal that the proportion of the population who smoke tobacco products should fall to 12 per cent by 2022, down from 15.5 per cent today.

Routine bans of vaping products at the workplace or in public spaces should cease, the DoH notes, in order to “maximise the availability of safer alternatives to smoking”. The last Tobacco Control Plan for England was published in 2011*. Since then, there’s been a grassroots revolution in public health.

The adult, and non-passive-aggressive way to accomplish this is to ask the person, when you see them pulling out the e-cig, is to not smoke next to you as you have a negative reaction to it.

Do so in a kind and informative way will get a much better response than the passive aggressive crap you just pulled.
Don't expect the person to know, if you haven't informed them.

Vaping indoors needs some consideration though. The vape clouds are huge compared to cigarette smoke and can be quite distracting.

I wonder if they're going to lighten up on some of the existing regulations. For example you can only buy bottles of 10ml, nothing larger, and the max tank size is 2.5ml.

I tried to ask someone politely not to vape in the office - he then proceeded to lecture me on why vaping is safe, why it should not bug me or anyone lese and got very defensive about it.

Vape clouds can be huge but it depends on the type of user. My clouds are considerably smaller than a cigarette smoker's.

What/how do you vape then, to produce such tiny clouds? A cigalike or evod type tank, or do you just take baby hits?

I stopped the stinkies 6 years ago and love my e-cigs. It has become a hobby with DIY. Mix my own stuff but 10ml bottles is a pain in the a hole.

What's with all the sickly sweet flavours??? Can you imagine walking into a bar and it smells of a fruit punch of cherry, apricot and mint?

Whether Vaping is conclusively "safe" or not is actually not relevant to me. It is the same as smoking. You are putting a foreign pollutant into your lungs and consequently breathing it out for others to inhale.
