Man I enjoy watching this programme on Discovery Channel, some of the places (like the Zambesi valley in Zambia last nite) are simply stunning.

But even for someone like me, that grew up in the African bush, some of the crap this guy eats defies belief!:sick:

Seriously, though, can someone eat **** for money? the mere fact that he is still alive and well is mind boggling:confused::D

That worm he ate when all the puss exploded out, that was just disgusting.

I doubt he got diarrea from eating the mopani worms, must have been from the water or something else.

Must be the hotel food and cut scenes that keep him alive and well. Have you not read about him being caught in hotels and the like during supposed filming?

Bear Grills or something like that. He drank wee in australia ( I suppose it is better than their beer)

The worst was when he was in morocco, cut open a camels stomach drank the liquid in the stomach, he then cut open the place where the food digests, took out the half digested food then squeezed it till the juice was coming out and ate it - I dont usually mind it when I see people eat weird stuff but this was just the worst - I felt nauseous after seeing that.:sick:

I love this program. :D

I guess it was from the rotten maggot-infested Impala he chewed on (raw).

Most of the stuff is sensationalist crap, there is no reason why he cant stop and cook some of the gross **** that he eats, but eating it raw and making pus spurt out is more attention grabbing I guess...

Remember, there is no acting there. He jumps out of a plane and need to survive. I saw the one of the amazon and he drank water that made him sick.

Seriously, if you are hungry you WILL eat anything ;)

No I haven't read up on him, I just watched a few episodes (Namibia, Zambia and when he was up in the alps..)

No matter what you okes say, that guy is flippin crazy and his show is out of this world, i must admit i can't stomach what he eats and look away but still a great series.

DJK is talking crap, where is there a Hotel in the middle of tha Amazon

But there is no conclusive proof to all these claims. I'm not saying he didn't. But in some episodes it would be impossible to have had a hotel any where near him

Is he being filmed by a crew? If yes, they must also eat/sleep somewhere .... so they will be staying a in some form of 'civilised' accommodation or carrying foodstuffs.

The mere fact that Channel 4 apologised for misleading its viewers and now airs a legal statement to this affect on its shows is proof enough for me...

LOL. I was involved in the filming of a wildlife/game capture series that was shown on reality channel (IIRC) a while back.

Lets just say that at least 75% of the footage was staged/made up.

So how many locals does it take to fill an elephant costume?

Lol, yeah he does eats some pretty nasty stuff.

Interesting you mention the Amazon one - thats one that was highlighted for fraudulent reasons apart from hotels IIRC - do some research, I'll get you started - http://www.google.co.za/search?q=be...avclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1B3GGGL_enZA261ZA261

Lol, let me point you in the right direction, those articles are 13 months old and yet there is no conclusive proff that he was faking it :o

Well Dhu.... If you believe everything you see on TV you are an idiot.

"You mean there really isnt a death star ready to kill us all??"

Most of them have those things you called tents and 4x4's, so yes it is possible that Mr Gryll sleeps in a tent :)

I see this show as more of a How-to-guide.
