Ultrasound scan costs

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has any idea n the cost of ultrasound scans for my ankle. Am not on medical aid, so have to pay privately and just wondering what to expect price wise.

If you're not on medical aid you can often negotiate with a service provider for a discount.

I had an injured ankle about two years ago and went to the casualty unit at Kingsbury hospital (Southern Suburbs). I forget exactly what radiology happened - I think it was an X-ray, not an ultrasound - it cost me about R500, plus R500 for the casualty doctor's consultation.
