UN-FLASHING AN XBOX

Hi guys

i have recently gone back online and want to know if it is possible to unflash an xbox. i have original copy of halo reach and halo 3 and wanna jam them on xbox live.

is there a way to unflash an xbox so that i dont get banned. i would hate to spend R500 on gold membership and then get banned after like 2 weeks.

yes you can spoof your serial back onto the original firmware. i think its only possible on liteon drives though - not 100% sure.

Well "un-flash" is not really the correct term. What you do is just returning to your stock, unmodified firmware, which requires another flash.

If I were you I would wait until the banhammer falls, if you survive it, then return to your old firmware. Bans are in waves, basically everyone gets banned at the same time, about twice a year. Theres a way to check if you are flagged for a ban, just google it a bit.

ok cool. i know the banning normally starts in november. i have halo reach. i bought it on release day and dont wanna get bannd jaming online having spent R600 on the game and 500 on xbox live. heres hoping.

If you've been online with a modded console chances are you have been flagged already. Going back to the original firmware might not help.
