LOL arni1954 if they give Telkom a helping hand we will still not see it filter through to the consumer. Telkom's profits will simply SOAR!!!
The corporate culture in Telkom is so corrupt that it now IMO is absolutely ncessary for the government to declare the telecoms industry in a STATE OF EMERGENCY and disband the current management, get in overseas experts to reform the country and split the company into little competing baby Telkoms.
Telkom is beyond repair atm and needs serious organizational overhauls from the top level down. The company has actually become poisenous to the country and if the government doesn't do something soons we will reach a point where there simply is no easy return. ATM it is a simple matter of competition, but there needs to be much more than just one competitor to Telkom because Telkom will either play dirty or fold completely, leaving us where we are now. With more than one competitor we can save ourselves a lifetime of strife. The question is, will the minister sign these things off.
Everybody is so busy on the ground, yet when it reaches her desk for signing it is marooned. Her desk is probably a NASA recognised Black Hole! All good intentions just disappear there...
