Unable to open apps on Catalina

Hi guys, I’m unable to open MS office apps after updating to Catalina.... please help

Its because Catalina only runs 64-bit apps, so your old 32-bit Office apps won't open. You'll need to buy Office 365, I think ... its like R135/month.

I updated software late feb so I only encounter the problem now all along it was working perfectly fine

Doesn’t matter.

If you have 32-bit Apps you cannot run them on Catalina.

It would have warned you about this too, but likely you just ignored it and pressed next.

Get a license for new modern Office Appa or subscribe to Office 365.

Or even better start using iWork and leave Office out in the cold.

Due to Apple's heightened security, sometimes the first time you launch an app, you need to go to it in your "Applications" folder, right-click it, choose "Open", and then choose "Open" again in the new window that appears on your screen.

There are a few other things you can try as well, but let me know if the above method works for you first.
