Unabridged birth certificates

Hi All.
Do the banks (ABSA or FNB) assist with obtaining unabridged birth certificates for your kids, as well as passports?
If not, which would be the most efficient third party to approach to help?

The ones that have home affairs offices inside them do, but as always you need to apply for it online.

In our case we were very lucky as it only took 15 minutes at the local home affairs office in town.
 
I don't think any birth certificates can be obtained at the banks.

In another thread people recommended a service - docassist or similar.

FYI the new child passports contain parents' details - I am assuming that travelling with the birth certificate is/will no longer be necessary with these passports.

All births starting 2013. Ours was right at the end of 2012 :confused:

That's for the issue of the unabridged birth certificate at birth.

I mean the passport itself will be re-issued with parents' details going forward.
The one I got this year is for a 2010 birth.

oddly enough no or its not consistent
My one child they put our details on the other they didn't
