In my own personal experience, routers that get broadband from the cellphone network need a reset every couple of days. Can anyone recommend one that is guaranteed to maintain connectivity indefinitely?

Good luck with that.

If I were you, I'd connect the circuit to a geyser timer or similar that kills the power at 3am. Although I have heard that Eskom now provides similar services, for free.

Never had a problem with my Telkom-fixed LTE, switched to MTN Home and now I have to reboot once a week, it's honestly pathetic. Same router for both services, B618.

You can maybe login to the router remotely and restart it via the system tools. Or plug it into a Wi-Fi plug that supports timers and have the plug switch off for 5 seconds once a week which will in essence reboot the router

Never heard of this. Mine stays connected all the time.

Most LTE routers come with the functionality to schedule a reboot on a regular basis. Just look for it in the settings.
