Uncapped 25Mbps for R275 per month

You guys are high end private users. There's plenty of people who don't need / use 4K
That's the point. For everyone who doesn't need it capped is a better option. And rich media isn't high end any more, I can easily do 10GB a day just browsing.

I don't know why everyone is so afraid to take the leap of offering proper internet options in this country.

Jeez, is that how much browsing takes these days?

@Jan Would be cool if you could do an article showing how much data is wasted on ads (static + Youtube) by visiting the same sites on two browsers/laptops.

Just be sure to reset the data usage in Windows.

Pretty much a useless product for anyone in 2026.

Not sure what Afrihost is thinking with this one tbh.
I'm a heavy user and this will work for me.

Most of what I need in terms of my business are already sitting on VPS's somewhere. That being said I don't really consume videos.

I don't see the point of this as its only available in areas with fibre already and fibre is cheaper and better. It's probably aimed at people who don't have PC's and only watch Netflix on their smart TV's.

I feel like buying this as a gift for my Indian "aunty" in Benoni who has no Internet access besides daily data for WhatsApp. But even then a capped 4G package is a much better idea.

Sounds good to me as I just want to stream baseball and rugby league in 480p on my 15 inch portable monitor. I only play old games and don't care for 'woke' nonsense like Netflix. I can make 50 GB last a whole month easily.
Why wait then for this 50GB capped (with tiny footprint) when you can get uncapped from cool ideas (using vodacom) for less money?

I'll probably go with MTN's Pi. I don't see the point of this as its only available in areas with fibre already and fibre is cheaper and better. It's probably aimed at people who don't have PC's and only watch Netflix on their smart TV's.

Never visited a site that loads a video? Even by the time you figure out how to close it it's already used over 100MB. Multiply that by a few dozen. Today's internet has all the content embedded into websites. These packages were designed for the days of a static web with almost no content.

This is ridiculous, 25mbps for the first 50Gb, then throttled to 10mbps until 80Gb, then throttled to 2mbps. "uncapped".
There was a time when everyone started calling their capped offers uncapped. This was reported to the ASA and they agreed it's uncapped as you technically still had some access after being capped. Then some started advertising true uncapped as unlimited to differentiate. Soon Mweb started advertising their capped offers as unlimited. Again it was reported to the ASA and they mistakenly said it was unlimited as you still had some access after being capped.

So well done to our clueless and incompetent authorities for allowing the situation where things can be falsely advertised.
