Just a quick question, are there any ISP's that provide 4mb line uncapped, all I ever see at the max is 1mb lines. I suppose the pricing will be killer too.

Maybe look at these high cap accounts -> http://www.gam.co.za/connectivity/adsl_business.php

They are *pricey*, but they allow the speeds you looking for and they are "unshaped" as well :)

Otherwise, Imagine-Ips has a 4MB "uncapped" account (small print is it's a 100GB account throttled to 128 kbps after 100GB usage !) -> http://www.imagine-ips.co.za/uncapped_adsl_is.php price is R4,500 (Excl vat) so about R5130 per month with VAT and it's a 12 month contract

Well I'm in a bit of a mess up. :/ I want uncapped but can only really afford around R1500 including the line. I'm in Durban and I doubt NeoTel will be out here for a while. I want uncapped in the mean time but that means sacrificing my 4mb line which I adore for a slower one such as 512 or 384. I've had those speeds before and just never liked them for gaming and big downloads.

Any suggestions? :/

With your R1500 bugget your best bet would be to get IS Business uncapped at 512 for R1539 pm.

This was my choice because I'm looking for a uncapped account as well. Now that Neotel has a prime uncapped option things are looking a bit better. I dont like the usb device Neotel provides but hey, in this country with if you want uncapped you have to take what you get.

Yo Neotel, please roll out your services to the rest of the country!!!

Get an uncapped account within your budget for your heavy downloading... and then keep a separate capped account for all the high speed stuff that you might need to do. If you really wanna get clever you can get them both online at the same time and do some fancy routing tricks too.
