Hi guys

I'm on Cybersmart ADSL at the moment on a 4MB line (including my Telkom line rental). My exchange supports 6MB, but my line is apparently "unstable" at that speed, so I've been downgraded to 4MB.

Looking to move to their Home uncapped, but I've been reading horrific reports about CS on here, and the poor speeds on their home account.

Plus I use my cybersmart email addy as a primary address, so I'm kinda tied down here. Although, if you are using a 3G network, you can't send emails from your CS account as CS has blocked them. You can only send mail from a fixed line network, or over a Blackberry, which is also up and down. And your ISP account is tied to your line, so you can't use your data quota at another location, which is also ridiculous.

Any recommendations as to the best ISP to move to for uncapped?

Hi

We offer a 7 day trial account which you can test with and see if it meets your needs.

If you are interested then send me your contact details and I will arrange for a sales consultant to contact you.

You can send your mail....just change the outgoing mail to the network you connected to. and not CS ...you only need them to recieve but not to send.

I dont have uncapped but the guys seem to be very happy with Openweb right now .

I'm currently with MWEB myself and I can't be happier. I have the same problem with being limited to a 4 meg line but apparently we'll get upgrades in the "non-northern" suburbs sometime next year (well I'm hopeful but not optimistic). Tried Afrihost when they originally launched their uncapped packages but found that it sucked (perhaps it's better now? once bitten twice shy kinda thing...) however MWEB has been sweet for my needs.

MWEB / OpenWeb / PluGG

All have trial account. See which works best for you. I'm with PluGG personally

On Mweb 4mb Uncapped, paying R928 p/m INCLUDING adsl line rental. MWEB tech support is excellent, although they do throttle the lines heavily in peak hours.

My last speed test was Download 4.2Mbps and upload 0.39 Mps, Thats not bad at all.

Go with OpenWeb. i have been with all the ISP's, OW and Plugg are the best in terms of service and value
