I ran out of cap last night! When speaking to my ISP (Kingsley) about upgrading to their IS Uncapped ADSL offering they strongly suggested that I do not as I have a DSL384 line. They say that the line speeds are so throttled on Uncapped ADSL that I will experience utter frustration! They also said that Telkom is currently focussing all their efforts on preparation for the World Cup so their support for other matters is very limited.

Is this indeed the case with uncapped ADSL. Should I hold off?

What difference does it make what line you have?
In some cases with the basic 4Mb uncapped, users only get "384 speeds", or 40KBps.
I for one, with my old useless 384 line, get in the region of 20KBps during the day, and usually line speed (40KBps) at night....

If you go with Mweb however, seeing as IS have a few issues to sort out, the speeds are apparently much better for both.

i started with a 384 uncapped with mweb and it was great so i upgraded to the 4meg also great speeds and service
