Problem is that we have a first world minority (ADSL addicts) in a third world country. I too hate it, but lets face it - with neighbours like mozambique and zimbabwe, we will NEVER become a first world country.

Answer is simple: go elsewhere. Afrikaans is an official community language in Australia

I intend to stay here for some time (until I finish honours anyway).

You then just put in your username and password in the router then it connects.

funny u say.. that their banking system is of the 3rd world. and our of 1st world.

It is not really uncapped. I have dealt with Sky Broadband a lot recently when trying to get relatives online in the UK.

They keep a list of all their heavy users and monitor their data usage carefully. If you exceed something like 40GB for a few months in a row, you get a warning notice or are throttled back to much lower speeds.

Their service levels are also on par with SA's, so at least they made me feel right at home in that regard!
