I am currently sitting with a predicament. I got a 384kbs line and a 1gig cap with Telkom. Now my question is:

Do I go the uncapped route or do I rather get a second account from IS that just offers Local Data. Because I don't need more than 1gig of data for web browsing and the 10gig Local Data that I get is too little.

So I want to basically know, what is going to be more beneficial. The uncapped or the Local data bundle option. Was maybe thinking of 1gig cap from Afrihost and then Local data bundle from IS or whoever the best ISP is for uncapped data.

Hope I make sense.

Personal Opinion.. Since you using your Telkom 1gb for web browsing, Rather go the R99 option with Axxess for browsing..
If you want upcapped, go Mweb (Couple Rands more in price but satasfaction with speeds)

To Sum it up, Mweb 384k Uncapped Would give you your browsing and your Local Data instead of having 2 or 3 different accounts..

If you want to download, DO NOT go with the AXXESS R99 deal, it downloads at 9kb/s from dogaming.co.za (local), slower than a freaking modem.
I don't know about the MWeb 384 uncapped deal.
I am staying far away from uncapped products and simply buying as I need.
I get my local-only bandwidth from Telkom Internet, basically, R79 for 11GB of local only is cheaper than Axxess who charge R10 per GB.

Totally agree.. Even they normal 384k uncapped is bad.. I lasted 3 months with them..

Mweb upcapped is excellent on 384 (for me anyway). worth every penny. We don't download that much, only about 45gb a month and we have never had speed issues.
