Hi all,
For the past year and a half I've been enjoying the pleasures of an uncapped IS account at work and now after finishing at the previous company I am looking to get the same at home. Does anyone actually offer a month-to-month option instead of a contract period and is there any providers that allow multiple concurrent connections ?

I am just as curious cos have the uncapped at work through IS and use to be able to run 2 connections at once but not anymore so if someone finds out who supports 2 concurrent uncapped connections please let me know

nobody would be that crazy... two concurrent connections would enable CRAZY downloading.

if you find somebody that does allow "uncapped" with concurrent it would more than likely be threshold based uncapped (yeah, uncapped gets used for anything, like i have an uncapped beer here).

in this country, it wont happen soon (if ever). thank you Telkom\Government

It would be cool though then you can split the cost per uncapped between friends :)

That's why isps will never allow it. Why give the service away for free to one guy?

Sometimes you guys on this forum just expect too much.

Neotel offer Uncapped for R999.

IS use to supply 2 concurrent connections but then they stopped about a month ago. they were crazy to stop it. i put the double concurrent connections to good use.

That's why they stopped it. You get double the usage for half the price. I say they were crazy for allowing concurrent connections in the first place.

I think he'll agree that from a consumer's viewpoint, 2 concurrent connections on uncapped is the way to go. From the ISPs viewpoint it does not make sense to allow concurrent connections.

yeah true that but still dam we are seriously bandwisth starved country. we need uncapped lines and neotel to role out faster than what they are at the moment. cos this is crazy people have uncapped and we cant even make use odf the technology that we have

That's my point.

The only thing stopping me from dling 50gigs every month is hdd space. I've been limiting myself to around 20gigs a month.

Why bother with DVDs, there is enough media to keep a person busy without resorting to watching anything twice. I have 4 hrs a day free (not working) and then I need to cook, clean and prepare for work the next day (1 hr), I don't even have time to watch TV as is.

ODS were the leaders in uncapped, now that they have been sold to Vox Telecom I would go with Open Web
