Uncapped Wi-Fi for R39 detailed

The product comes with a fair-usage policy where users will be throttled once a monthly 3 GB threshold has been reached.

It's not uncapped then is it? Another misleading article title.

i don`t understand, uncapped means no limit or limitless? why do you get throttled at 3gb, how fair is that, then you get a speed of 24 kbps.

Well it looks like then this product is not for me. You cannot call a capped product uncapped :wtf:

As far as I'm concerned that's false advertising. If I'm going to be contacted by my ISP for exceeding a low 3GB limit for consecutive months then I am not allowed to use the product on an uncapped basis. It's as simple as that.

That is 100% false advertising then and someone should lay a complaint based on that. What a bunch of knobs that think they can easily con.

3gig cap for R40 aint bad. Is this a once-off deal . or for how long will this pricing last ??

Will this work at Joburg Airport , CPT Airport or on the "Always On" sites. (hotels , mug and beans etc)

Even if they do throttle... if you can still check your emails etc.. its fine. (I don't think your going to do any gaming online once its throttled)

I don't think the price is bad at all. Only really useful if you live/work in range though. Would be nice if they had a map on their site, the search thing on the site now really really sucks.

I would be pretty happy to pay R39 for this product. Not too shabby at all - regardless of the FUP.

Yeah, this ^. Thing I don't get 'tho is Wireless G's relevance (unless you're on a flight perhaps). Most people have a phone that can connect them via a mobile network... Data packages and bundles are getting better slowly, really slowly... You can create a personal hotspot with you smartphone and have more than one connection... But most of all, public WiFi should be free Goddamn it, free I say!

Its common world wide for uncapped services to have a FUP with throttling. If they hardcapped you at 3Gb then this would not be an uncapped service.

It seems like companies are using the term "Uncapped" just as they please! The words "Uncapped" and "Threshold" do not go together in the same sentence!!!!

Is it prepaid? No-one in his right mind will have anything to do with an account at Nashua Mobile

Indeed, am interested in their "uncapped" 3Gb, but only if it's prepaid.

Maybe by their reasoning 3Gb is considered so much, that they think people would few that as "uncapped"?
