Just curious but I've been told I'm underweight for my size...

I'm 1.7m tall but only weigh 59.5Kg, I don't look skinny or anything so I'm just wondering what is the average weight for a male that height?

I think it depends on weight distribution that determines if you -look- thin.
E.g. I have skinny wrists so i do.. that and bone/skeletal mass because i have seen people who weigh more but looks thin as heck.

The guy at the gym last time i asked about it said for guys you want to be in the top half of the bmi range and girls in the bottom half.

Also If you are still young then you tend to have less muscle mass. (no if you live to be 100 you will not be hulk

You would have to weigh 56kg to be underweight (BMI 20 or less) . From 71kg up you are overweight.(bmi 25) At 90kg you would be obese.(bmi 30)
