All im going to say, your friend is burning bridges very quickly.. even if a labour lawyer or even the ccma intervene, whether she wins or loses, at the end of the day, her workplace is never going to be the same. Finding another job wont be easy either. Remember big corps have money to spend on cases like this.

Thankfully not. I'm glad she is taking the matter up with a Labour lawyer. Ccma going to have field day with this case I'm sure.

Before she can go to CCMA she needs to make sure that the suspension went against company policy for the offence. Suspension may also not be used as an indication of guilt or suspicion, often its important to remove employees from the workplace during investigations so as not have interference from anybody.

In our small business having a staff member who is not focused on her job is a problem and thats why we do a suspend with full pay.

What is the suspension based on as per the letters she received from her employer?

As long as she's being paid what's the problem?

Worry about following it up when they don't want to pay her any more.
