UNI-CHIP Citroen C4

How much did this all cost you?

Well the chip is about R2000 plus install
The branch and freeflow i got for free :P cause i worked at a car magazine and they did some tests but its a ceramic branch and freeflow so its very costly BUTTTT u can get a branch and freeflow for about R3000
Then the filter cost me nothing aswell cause i used my current filter

Ok guys, point to remember that a chip on any naturally aspirated engine will not give you much more power at all. Put that chip on a car with a Turbo, then ram induct the airflow.... that will give you power!

My old nissan sentra 160Si had a problematic engine management unit so I chipped it with the dastek unichip at SACs(was cheaper than a a new ECU). The chip piggy backs on the ECU and took care of all my problems. I gained 3kw of power (was not my intention to gain power), I have it mapped for fuel economy. I get an extra 40 to 60km on a tank now. The power curve is more linear and much smoother too.

Sorry for the hijack, but who is the best at installing and tuning an Unichip in CPT?
I need to do something with my thirsty 3.3l bakkie.

Lol unfortunately not.

Have you taken your citroen to a dealership to see what they would offer you?

Haha, ya i did take it to them.. but my citroen have 150 000KM on the clock..thats why iam asking if it's worth it to pimp it a little bit

LOL

I have a 1600 citi and i chiped it, added a branch, freeflow and deturmpted the filter i went from 75 kw on the fly to 96 kw on the fly.
Start with exhaust first and the filter then chip

How do you know what you are at the fly?

Almost 30% increase sounds slightly high.

at the fly?

iirc u have to remove the motor to get flywheel figures?

You can get an estimate though.

That sounds better though ;)

Its true what u say to get a proper reading the engine is taken out but its a estimate like dolby says it could be easy under 10 kw or maybe over who knows

My citroen C2 VTS comes standard 94kw on flywheel with no mods Citroen is better in my opinion standard to standar and gets higher gains with aftermarkets

If you have the money do it also look into the Gsr Induction on the c2 Vts it takes it from standard 94kw up to 101 kw with no other mods and no rolling road or dyno! Citroen motors are harder than most guys think u see citroen 1600 turbo engines playing with golf 2000 turbo gtis gotta make you think a bit... Your c4 is a bit tamer than my vts but yours is 86kw stock mine is 94kw stock so ul feel the difference, if u a citroen fan just get the c4 vts that's a machine comes standard 250BHPthats about +- 200kw my 1600 is 125BHP 94kw hope this helps bro happy motoring

I though the idea of chipping a N/A 1.6 C4 was fail. Then I read the post about the guy chipping his N/A 1600 CITI Golf...
