Those of you who know me and follow my drunken online antics will know that I live in the bush and one of my best mates is a Park Warden for the National Park that surrounds my town...

Recently he let me know that he was called out to one of the local mine offices as they had a visitor that nobody could remove.

A unibok had wandered into the offices and had no intention to leave.

So tame are the local boks that he had to talk it out of the offices, it never ran away, but wandered off...

While at the old Kumba mine in Thabazimbi - we had a strange problem. The teaspoons in the kitchen at the technical bay kept on being stolen. It didn't matter if it was metal or plastic - the number of spoons slowly dwindled.
We eventually caught the thief red handed - members of the troop of monkeys living in the trees around the buildings had developed a taste for sugar. And somehow learned that it was easier to sneak in , and steal a spoonfull, taking the spoon in the process. We found all the missing spoons on the roof where they had dumped them.

Between them, a local troop of baboons, and the family of mongoose that regularly foraged in the gardens - we never had a dull moment.
