I'm really hoping someone can help me.

The problem I'm using my desktop PC to connected to my billion 800VGT router. I'm running an Asus P5K deluxe mobo with wifi. It's been working fine for a long time. As of last night, I get a "unidentified network error; no internet access" error whenever my wifi connects to the router. It says that the wireless is connected (no limited access error).

So what I have tried (more than once):

Disabling IPv6
Uninstalling and re-installing wireless network and changed drivers
Re-installed Win 7 -.-"
Manually entered IPv4 addresses
Used ipconfig /release and /renew
Reset the winsock catalogs
Used the Win7 troubleshooter a million times
I've ruled out the Bonjour service problem too

Also, the router is fine. I can connect to it from my laptop and surf the net perfectly fine.

Below the ipconfig /all results:

I suggest looking at the Wifi settings on the Router. You have ripped your pc apart basically with no success, so why not check the Router?

Which Wifi channel are you using? Try to use another from 6 -11.
What Security are you using? Wep/WPA?

Try to use WPA-PSK (preshared key).

Change the Wifi password and try again.

Tried that all too. No luck. I seriously don't know what else to possibly try.

If you disconnect from the wless network, delete the network in 'Manage Wireless Networks', restart the PC and then reconnect, does it work then?

edit: I see its a USB adapter. Remove it before doing the steps above.

Nope, didn't work either. But funny enough it's not USB...it's onboard wifi... Weird. Maybe that windows update installed wrong driver. I'll check it out.

Windows Update has been trying to get me to install a Realtek Wless USB adapter driver... I have a Trendnet adapter

Let us know if reinstalling the original driver works!

I've tried several drivers now. I have double-checked, I definitely have a Realtek WLAN. I'm beginning to suspect that my onboard WiFi is kaput. Thinking of just going and buying a new usb wireless dongle. I'll try a few more things tonight and see how it goes. Thanks for the help.

Actually, to think of it, since re-installing Win7 does nothing to resolve my problems, I seriously do think it's hardware related. But I'm not giving up yet.

Update: I bought a new wireless usb adapter. Worked instantly. So definitely was a hardware failure then. Thanks for the help all.
