Hi Hi

need to add another AP...

Looking at the Unifi 6 range... (the new 7 don't seem to be available SA yet, correction, just found them on Scoop), I won't mind putting some new 7's down... starting to future proof network.

As as I can understand... the major difference between a Pro and LR is the 5Ghz throughput, see the Unifi6 Plus at some cheap prices... and then the Lite to the above 2 is range...

The U6 Lite is essentially replaced by the U6+. There is a nice tool to compare here but for some reason does not show TX power https://techspecs.ui.com/unifi/wifi?subcategory=wifi-flagship&view=compare

You just cannot beat the U6+ in value for money here. However there are times you can use the others.

Am about to install at my sons digs and took the U6 Pro as I want to wirelessly connect a U6 Mesh outside. Am hoping the 4x4 and higher 5,8 TX will assist the overall performance.

I"m actually going to put the plus here with me, right at the entrance of the study, I have the 6 LR here at the moment, then move the 6LR to the high point of the house, double volume entrance hall, and then take the UAP AC5 Lite thats there and move it to the garage, it's for outlying devices on that side...
