Hi guys,
I have moved into a new home and there is a POE powered Unifi AP installed. I have my own Unifi equipment and was wondering if I can remove the existing AP and plug the POE original cable direct into WAN1 of my USG! Will it be ok or will it blow the USG. Any help would be great.

Cheers,

Brett

But why..?

The USG does not support PoE as a power input, at least mine does not.. The datasheet seems to indicate the same..

Furthermore, the WAN port should be receiving the connection from your ONT, assuming you have fibre..

Hi, I will power the USG via the power port but just wondered if the USG WAN1 interface can handle the network exisisting which is POE.

As @WAslayer said, WAN1 should be for the connection from your ONT... and ONTs typically do not support POE

Plugging in POE into non POE shouldn't be a problem, it will just work as a normal port
