I probably know the answer to this question, but going to ask the experts anyway. :)

I have a DHCP server issuing details to devices that connect to the subnet - no problem.

What I would like is to issue different DNS server settings to a few devices that also connect to the same subnet. Is this possible via DHCP. I can of course (and have done) manually configured the DNS settings on the devices I wanted different, but would like to do this via DHCP. I could put those devices on a different subnet which will have its own DHCP server and route between the networks, but would rather not go this route.

I have a mikrotik router.

TIA.

You can forward port 53 for certain internal IP'S to another dns server?

Yes, you can assign separate DNS servers to devices.

Not sure how you do it on Mikrotik but on pfSense I just set up static entries for all the devices then I'm able to fine tune them separately.

Hmmm, interesting solution, never thought of anything like this. Thank you.

I see on the mikrotik you can set something called "DHCP Options" per device, but doesnt look like anything I can use. Will have to research more here (any mikrotik experts?), if nothing found, I may try something along the lines of paul's solution.
